Another July in the Adirondacks! As Norte Maar continues to be a leading force in Brooklyn, many may not realize that the organization was originally founded on the shores of Lake Champlain in the summer of 2004 and played a major role in revitalizing the arts in the North Country. Today, Norte Maar continues to be a signature advocate and presenter of the visual, literary, and performing arts connecting emerging artistic communities in the North Country and Brooklyn and beyond.

Summer 2015 marks the second year of programing for Norte Maar in residence at the Jay House where the organization has discovered a creative and energetic artistic community located just outside Lake Placid.
