PLATTSBURGH, NY- Pine Harbour Assisted Living will opening its doors for the first in a series of rotating art exhibitions called Art at Pine Harbour. The first in the series, North Country Women Photographers, will feature 20 photographs by local artist Gail Kemp, Joanne Kennedy, Andrea Knight, Lynn Manning, and Jan Stanley. An opening reception will be held March 23 from 5-7 PM.
The exhibition will highlight North Country scenes and subjects that are recognizable to the community. But the viewer will also see beauty and wonder from each artist’s individual personal perspective. Joanne Kennedy and Jan Stanley have both published books and those will be exhibited and for sale along with the works and cards. During the months to follow, Joanne will have a gallery chat showing a DVD of her work and talk about her book. Jan will talk about her work and her publishing adventure as well. Call 561-5307 for further information for these artist chats. The exhibit can be viewed 7 days per week from 9am through 3 pm at the Pine Harbour Assisted Living campus at 15 New Hampshire Street, Plattsburgh, on the lake. The exhibit program is sponsored by Norte Maar for Collaborative Projects in the Arts. |
